The usual issues that a printer might run into includes not being able to find the printer claim code, or not being able to connect to a wireless connection, or not being able to download the drivers for your printer, smears while you print them, or not being able to print them at all, and finally, the most common one, paper jams!
We have pretty much address the setup and drivers in out earlier posts, so we’d like to graze upon the other few topics as well. Here are a few precautionary steps that you can take to avoid these issues!
Use HP cartridges only!
It is always recommended, from HP and from us, to use only the genuine HP cartridges offered by HP themselves on their websites and stores, and not to rely on the third party cartridges. This might turn out to be one of the biggest issues, on a longer run. The way to find out what cartridges are compatible for you, you can go to the HP supply site, and enter your printers model and the other details asked for. The site would fetch you the details of cartridges compatible to you, and where to get them locally!
Clean the printer
This is an issue, that is more serious than people would like to admit. Not cleaning the printer, might lead to a faster wear and tear. If not the whole printer, we’d ask you to clean at least the ink nozzles often.
Paper
Please make sure that the paper you’ve placed in the input tray is compatible with the printer dimensions! Also make that you place the paper correctly, and you don’t stack the input tray with too many papers!
Reset you printer
Please have the habit of turning you printer off after you’ve completed printing.
